Thomas Scotson: Hammond – Trumpet Session Player

I’ve played a few sessions for Chris at Toast and always found him easy to work with. He knows his micing and desk + he works fast. His know how coupled with a great arsenal of vintage gear is more than capable of delivering the goods and I’ve always got the sound I wanted as well as some added surprises. Recommended for any serious recording artist.

Mike C Calvert: Cellist

Absolutely quality, easy to work with, and will not stop recording you until it is absolutely spot on (as apposed to using software to ‘correct’ mistakes). Already recommended here to friends wanting to record.

Tiki Black:

I finally found a music producer and sound engineer who has enough of an eclectic taste in music to understand new approaches and fusions as well as suss out and emphasise the unique flavour of a music style. Certainly being both a musician and a sound engineer optimises the producer! Thanks Chris for what you have done with my album Out of the Black. Tiki x website

Paul Senior: Guitarist The Seniors

Chris Hamilton Produced, engineered and drummed on our debut EP ‘Country Folk in this Adorable Town’. He helped develop our sound and essentially kick start the band from being a studio project into a ‘live travelling extravaganza’!! Glastonbury immediately loved the record and 12 months on from releasing it, we’re making our first appearance there at this years festival. A lot of this is down to Chris – cheers dude, we’re indebted.

Chris Gorman: Guitarist Session Player and Northern Uproar

Chris is the best we have worked with, a natural with a great ear (some people say he has two) and very easy to get along with, he provides a very relaxed creative atmosphere, looking forward to recording the 5th Northern Uproar album with him at Toast website

Joshua McClurg: Guitarist, Singer

Proper good recordings – would recommend to anyone

Matthew Thompson: Guitarist, Singer

One morning last year after much deliberation and armed with 15 acoustic songs I randomely contacted Chris Hamilton via a Google search for Manchester producers. I know I can write and play my own stuff well but I needed a visionary pair of ears! I needed someone to craft this batch of songs into a beautiful album I would cherish. From our first meeting Chris was absolutely bouncing with creative ideas and could hear things in the songs even in a raw state that I hadn’t even dreamed.
Chris brought in a hugely talented array of session players most of whom had recorded at Toast before and within a very short time I had recorded my debut album ‘Songs for little boy wonder’ by Matt Thomas Thompson. The working process was so easy as Chris is so at the top of his game he refused to let anything go to tape until it was perfect.
I am already plotting my next album and there will only be one man and one place to record it. Chris Hamilton Producer extrordinare, the best ears in Manchester at Toast studios.

Steve Pycroft: Drummer, Composer, Producer

I’ve worked here on several projects as an arranger, drummer and cameraman. It’s always a great atmosphere – incredible equipment and ultimately, fantastic results! Chris is a genius with all styles of music and knows the equipment inside out, get on it!

Ray Gibson: Singer-Songwriter, Guitarist

I am recommending Toast, Chris Hamilton (Music Producer Mix Engineer Chris Hamilton UK Manchester) ! Thanks again for your dedication to finishing my album. It sounds way better than I had ever hoped for, you pulled together some talented musicians to play on this from around Manchester, and god knows how many days of editing and mixing you have done – we stopped counting! The set up at Russell Road really suited me being camped at the Studio, and Rene made me very welcome. Missing the process, one more take and “here we go…” (Record, tape rolling, perform).
